And Buddy is the head guard. His bipolar personality his stellar skill!

I had a repair man visit to look at our washer. All dogs outside, fids in their cages. "Ding dong!" And Buddy sounded off. Repair man came in, never went near the birds, Buddy is screaming "HELLLLOOOOOO", then throwing wing flips, biting the bars, pacing his perch each time the repair man and I were standing and talking to each other. He looks over at Buddy who looks like he's salivating chewing the bars, body language 100% "I'm going to get you if I can get thru these bars!" The repair man says " You don't have guard dogs, you have guard birds, especially that one." Buddy was a nasty little green monster and was happy once the repairman was gone, lol.

Goofy does the puffed up angry amazon dance when new people come over. If it's a new person who we want to stick around, we usually have them feed him a bit of cheese. That normally mollifies him long enough for that person to feel comfortable hanging out.

Have you ever seen the movie "Psycho"? Ya know the view from the front of the old house... the upper window... the scary shadow-figure lurking there?

That's the Rbird... second-story central dormer.... back-lit. On guard, hates just about everybody and everything, armed (beaked) and dangerous. Nothing goes un-heralded, except during his afternoon nap.

LOL, if we ever get burgled, the would be burgular would be greeted by Salty saying "H i i i i" in his nice cheery voice.

Oh, and Tinker might look up and say 'mmmurrfff' and go back to sleep.

Thursday a new washer is being delivered. I think I'm going to set up a camera to record the guard bird in action. Halloween night I will have to do it again. I put a child gate across the front door so we can leave it open and the kids come to the door. The dogs can see the kids and the kids can pet them if they want, get their candy and glow bracelets and off to the next house. I put Buddy's cage close to the door so he can pretend to be a Walmart door greeter. If I could only get him to wear a blue smock, lollll!!!!

The Ricky Bird is hilarious. My family says he sounds like Buddy's cousin. I tell the "Pet Blessing" story all the time, lol!

Tesla our macaw screams "car" everytime someone pulls into the driveway. He let's us know, then the dogs bark. Good guard bird.

Charlotte, our macaw, is under the impression that the garbage truck is going to kill us all, and alerts us to the danger. Loudly.
