Earlier today he was preventing me from washing my face. I asked him why I wasn't allowed to use the faucet, but he would only honk at me:06:

I caught him taking an adorable nap:07::60:

And naturally tried to get a few more photos:p

I know I'm cute, but I am SO not into a photoshoot right now!

What a beautiful bird, such vibrant colors and a personality to match!

Don't know if you are living in a drought area, but if so Kiwi will be your water monitor as depicted in the first pic!

He is looking especially vibrant right now, as he just finished up a big molt and is finally looking less like a cactus and more like a parrot again:p

No drought here in Oregon. It poured pretty much all last week:rolleyes: I think he was just being ornery, amazon dominance and all that:p

Nothing like a colorful parrot after a molt!!

Isn't that what locals call "Liquid Sunshine?"

Tis a sleeping hut he gets during the winter for additional warmth. My "profile picture" is him hanging out in it. I made that hut before we even knew what bird we were getting and no other hut will do according to him:rolleyes: Kiwi is not a fabric chewer, though I know it's about time to replace the ties again:03:. The washing machine has done more damage to the hut over the years than Kiwi has:56:

I think the 'locals' reserve that term more for things of an adult beverage nature;) Rain is more of an "ugh" thing:25:
