Am I the only with a red head?

Who all has an Amazon without a yellow head or yellow nape? I know we have quite a few on, my Buddy has a red head. We say he's ready for Christmas year round, lol!

Re: Am I the only with a red head?

Well, clearly Buddy comes Christmas Ready! Just so Buddy doesn't feel all alone, here are several others that are 'Christmas Ready!'

Red-Lored (Buddy)
Red-Spectacled
Green-Checked
Vinaceous (much less red than Buddy)

Others that have some varying amounts of Red on their heads /Cheeks:
Festive
White-Fronted
Blue-Cheeked
Tucuman
Puerto Rican
Yellow-Lored
Lilic-Crowned
Red-Tailed

When you include Red Feathers in general - The list gets huge quickly!

I'm sure that Buddy is not alone, since their have been several Red-Lored Amazons that have popped in from time to time!

You're looking great as always, Buddy!!!

Amazon's Rule!

Re: Am I the only with a red head?

here is a pic of Lilac Lilly. had her 2 months now a real firecracker. she still wont step up for me unless she needs rescued from the floor. she will come off the cage top on my arm but not to the skin i have to have a long sleeve on. she loves running around on my shoulder and I'm an ol hippie biker so she spends time in my beard and always gets all tangled up in the hair. she seems a lot more skidish then my other birds so i treat her with special care to help build the trust. great bird she has already started talking for me ,and a great personality.[IMG][/IMG]

Poor ol' Barney (my mom's GCA) *should* look like Buddy, but instead he looks like a small turkey vulture
