And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
...even after 27 years I thought I knew her pretty good.

She is obsessed with BB and his house..I let them out and turn my back and she is headed right for it.
I catch her in different areas of her getting to it..either her climbing down to the floor from her mansion..to walking across the room to his house..or ON his roof..sometimes IN his house with him!

I get her on her perch stick and tell her NO! leave the boy alone and put her back on her play top. I turn away, walk out the room to the kitchen, then back to the living room and she is at it again..sometimes she is already ON his roof! I'm gone not even 5 minutes...she must RUN there ( or maybe she is flying and I don't know about it lol) but this goes on and on 8 or 10 times in a row..until I have to put her back IN her house for awhile.

Sometimes BB goes back into HIS house ( geez here comes that big green monster to pester me again) He's prolly getting sick of her too

Tonight, they weren't out for 5 minutes and I am in the computer room directly across from the living room. I hear flapflapflap as little BB makes his way here, and "huh?huh?huh?" from Amy as she walks this way.

Now the only time Amy has been in here,is if I brought her in here. Now she comes in on her own power, and its usually coz BB is in here with me.
So tonight as they were making their way here, I got up,got Amys perch stick, with one hand I had Beebs step up,and with the other hand, holding the perch stick, I had Amy step up to bring both of them in here with me.

Without warning..no body lingo..no fluffing up or pinning eyes..CHOMP! right into my thumb! Drip drip drip of blood..of course I made "a noise" and called her a not-so-pleasant-name.

All of the other times I have/had no problems carrying both of them around together..I just don't know what brought it on tonight.
She is starting to get way out of hand when it comes to the little boy and I think he may be getting a little nervous too about her obsession of him.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Amy certainly is much bigger and is probably well acquainted with the Law of The Jungle! She can and will have her way, best you do is remain observant and cautious!

Fly free Plum, my gorgeous boy.
Sorry to say Jim but it sounds like a bit of jealousy to me. She has been Queen/King Bee for some time and probably realised that Beebs isn't going anywhere and is here to stay.

Ensure Amy gets her fair share of one on one when BB is in his home.

She told you she isn't happy with things! If she is good and doesn't show any aggression to BB maybe she should go visit him each day on a supervised trip?

She probably is trying to work out what is so special with him? They are very different birds and you will be reacting to each of them differently.

Jim,

I'd like to say that I didn't see this coming for a long time. But, to be very honest, I am surprised that Amy hasn't acted out prior to this point. His long standing good nature has likely saved or greatly delayed a serious confrontation.

My DYH Amazons would likely had (trying hard not be to graphic here) made a feather pile of BB long before this point.

You are faced with separate times out of cage and keep a very close eye on their interactions at all times.

Amy was FIRST, FIRST! And, he has a right to his time and that time should at the very least be 50 /50 and more likely 65 /35.

You have been very lucky, my good friend! Time to put Amy back up over the 50% level or to whatever level he needs!

Steven,

Im sure part of the concern is different brak sizes and not wanting bb to get hurt.
Does Amy try to hurt bb?

When I got my conure I was cautioned to be careful because she could hurt the tiels. I was careful at first but they get along great.
Can you just let her in bbs cage during the day and perhaps let bb visit her cage.

Mine do. They eat the same food too. If you arent able too I understand just wondering if its possible to relax a bit.

No Amy doesn't try and hurt him..from all accounts she likes him..she likes every bird that was here..she wanted to be best pals with Smokes, but Smokes wanted no part. And with Jonesy, they stood next to each other,Amy would preen Jones hat for him. And when she is on BB's roof with him, they share his nummy bowl.
BB really doesn't pay much attention to her..but he doesn't run from her either.

Geez I just let her out and she is already on his roof top playing with HIS toys..she just WONT leave him alone!
