Birthday ( hatch day)

I am assuming there will be a number on his band ( good luck on me keeping the little ball of fluff quiet enough to read it).

I'm guessing the breeder would be able to give me his hatch date from his band number,no? Geez he's going to be a year old already.. Time flys!

Well, if you can contact the Breeder, they normally keep a log book of the leg bands that they use and with the numbers, letters or a combination will normally be able to tell you a hatch date. I hear you my Friend older eyes and a hand full of much younger BB. Good Luck!

Amy is going to be much more difficult. Based on the general region that Blue Fronts and more specific to your species of Blue Front. Amy likely came from South, Central, South America. Compared to the Nominate Blue Front that are more commonly found in North, Central, South America.

Most Blue Fronts were 'harvested' from their nests after they had been weened by their Parents, and likely sold to a Transporter. There the chick was transported to the coastal regions and again sold to an exporter. From there, the chick was transported to a Southern Coastal State in the USA. Likely Florida and both sold to a USA Importer and Held by the USA Government in an import holding center for 60 to 90 days and sometimes longer, Then the now older young Blue Front is returned to the Importer and either sold directly to a Pet Store or to a Distributor and than to a Pet Store. At 'X' number of days in the Pet Store, you Walk in and its Love at First Sight! So, Amy was anywhere from eight months to a year old when you First Fill in Love!

FYI: Import Parrot held by the USA Government had numbered leg bands!!! A leg Band with No Numbers is very unusual for that period of time!!! Double check your records!!!

Or, Amy got a First Class plane seat from her nest to your Pet Store, which we can both agree was highly unlikely.
