Thanks Buddy!

Buddy, my GCA always gives me fanfare when I come home and walk through the front door. Husband walks in, silence, I walk in and Buddy makes his "Welcome Home!" sounds. Husband says choice words under his breath for the blunt actions from Buddy, lol. Once Husband walked in the door before me, Buddy started his fanfare but like a record player being turned off and slowing down, so did his fanfare, like he wasted the good hello on Husband, lolllllllllll!!!!!!!!

So tonight, I snuck out of the house to pick up a surprise for Husband while he was preoccupied. No problem leaving, he didn't know I left. I get home, stealthily open the door and tip toe inside and Buddy sounds off like always!!!!!! I hid the surprise quickly, tossed my purse trying to cover what loud mouth Buddy announced. Then to rub salt in the wound, Buddy laughed!!!!! Husband comes around the corner and asks what has Buddy making noise. Me, I say he's Buddy, who understands what he does while I clearly knew what that little turd bird did. Buddy and I are having a talk in the morning, lol! I love my little green clown!

Next day: Volume is twice the normal and Buddy's got a couple of new words: What's you got there?

ROTFL!! You all nailed it. Our convo went like this.

Me: Buddy, we need to talk.
Buddy: Ack!
Me: You can't always sound the alarm when I walk in the front door.
Buddy: Ack! (softly) Hewwooo.
Me: You almost gave the surprise away.
Buddy: kiss kiss kiss (kissing noises), purrs, fluffs his tail and cheeks.
Me: Can you agree to be quiet when a surprise is involved?
Buddy: purrs, soft wolf whistle, makes goo goo eyes with puffy cheeks.
Me: You aren't paying attention are you?
Buddy: kiss kiss kiss, makes monkey sounds.
Me: Buddy! Are you listening????
Buddy: Max volume ACK!!!!!!
Me: Buddy you're proving everyone right on the blog.
Buddy: Bends his head down and butts my finger with it for a scritch.

Conversation over, lol! And I gave him an almond which he eagerly destroyed with glee.

That about ssums it up!
Take your defeat gracefully... I doubt Buddy likes a pouty Tracy.

Gotta be real sneaky to get over on a 'zon. At least he gives you appropriate recognition.
I get "Hello Geri" when I walk in at nite. Geri is my wife's name, and she never goes anywhere.
