:(...Amy..same 'ol story, same 'ol song and dance..

This has been beaten like a dirty rug. She WON'T stay off/out of BB's house.
Again, tonight,I open both of their front doors, remove the bowls, and go to the kitchen. First thing I replace is the water bowls. Wash 'em out, fill with fresh water, and back in their houses with the bowls.
I am not out of the room for 5 minutes, and when I return, there she is..this time she was INSIDE his house, chewing on Beebs little toys ( easily destroyed by a 'zon beak) and helping herself to his honey stick.

At first, I thought it was "cute",her wanting to hang with the little guy,now its aggravating, having to retrieve her a half dozen times in a few hours.
She is not,and never has, been aggressive at all towards him. She just likes to hang with him.
She was never aggressive towards ANY birds,Smokey or Bonesy..or Salty,or the "strangers" she may encounter at ALLPETS ( The little green armed Bee Bee's would all clamor about each other when we visited and she would talk to then in Amazon speak.

When BB was just a little tyke, I don't think he knew any better, plus he was hanging out with three other siblings. Now I think he is leery of the big green monster, kind of stays away but doesn't run.
Tonight when Amy was in his house,he retreated to his "tidy bowl" enclosure..plexi three sided with roof and a perch food bowl.
I have seen him do this a few times now,and if she is on his roof and he is also there,he has flapflapflapped to the couch.

I don't know if it his HIM she wants,or his house..coz he has been in here with me,and I have found her on his roof, alone. Usually she'll waddle across the room and come in here and hang with us.

Should I just give in,and let her hang on his house? Like I said she doesn't bother him,and I usually get him out to be with me..only "damage" Amy does,is chew Beeb's toys and chow on his food lol..

I have been wondering what Amy has been up to of late!

The good news; Amy continues to be interested in BB and has shown no signs of making tiny pieces of him. At most, Amy has been making tiny pieces of some of BB's toys and eating BB's food.

I would count this as been darn lucky my friend!

Yes, a bit of a pain in the lower back. Yup!!! Not perfect. Yup!!! But, based on what you could be faced with, darn lucky my friend!

Yes Steven, I am truly blessed to have such a mild mannered 'zon :)

Doesn't scream..doesn't really get into any "trouble"..loves most people/things..loves her rides in the car, visiting people and places..talks pretty darn good ( wish I could teach her to sing.I have seen many YouTube singing Amazons and find it hilarious lol)

So I guess I'll let her do her thing...if she wants to hang on Beeb's roof,so be it. She isn't hurting anything ( except his toys lol) and she shows absolutely no aggression towards him,and now he is smart enough to where if he feels uncomfortable,he just books to somewhere ( HaHa..I can FLY...you can't Amy..nah nah na nah nah! :p)

I understand your concern. I'd be concerned too, big beak, little beak, scary. When I first brought Venus my Ekkie home, I thought it was cute that she would climb all over Buddy's cage. That is until that little red turkey figured out how to open cage doors, went in his cage and ran him out. Buddy bit her toe, she knocked him in the back of his head. So I keep her separated from all unsuspecting victims. I'm glad Amy is not aggressive, it's cute that she wants to be around the Beebs but I'm sure she s intimidating too. Here is my mental image of Amy and the Beebs, lol!!! [ame="https://youtu.be/dzmlqJnlcn4"]Looney Tunes FANDUB: I will name him George - YouTube[/ame]

I'm sorry you're dealing with this little pain-in-the-butt issue, but secretly I'm kind of happy that I'm not the only one who is really annoyed by this happening and having to go retrieve a bird that is trespassing! I have the same problem, it's a fairly new thing, started about 2-3 weeks ago, but my issue is in reverse of yours.

My Senegal's cage is in my dining room, which is connected to the living room and open to it, there are no doors. The Senegal's cage is larger than the other bird's cages, which are all in my living room, so I put him out in the dining room so he had room, but he is still very close to the living room and can see me and the other birds very clearly if I'm on the couch watching TV or something. Most of the time my Senegal is in the living room with me anyway unless he's eating or taking a nap. Well my male green cheek conure, Bowie, has started to want to just hang out on the outside of the Senegal's cage (his name is Kane, also a male). I was outside with my dogs a few weeks ago for about 10 minutes and when I came back inside Bowie was on Kane's cage, just hanging out on the outside. I gave him a lift back to his cage. No exaggeration, now he tries to haul his little green cheek birdy butt out to Kane's cage every chance he gets. Kane usually isn't even at his cage, he's typically in the living room or upstairs in my office hanging out with me! And I have yet to see Bowie go into Kane's cage, but I know he's been inside it because yesterday I couldn't find him and he wasn't flying to me when I called him (which typically means he's doing something he knows he shouldn't be doing). I walked into the kitchen and he was waddling across the dining room/kitchen floor as fast as he possibly could to get back to his own cage. It was hilarious to see, but I was wondering why he didn't just fly back to his cage when I called him, that is until I saw that he was desperately trying to carry a Brazil nut back to his own cage in his little green cheek beak! He kept dropping it, and was actually more dragging it than carrying it, it wasn't even close to fitting in his beak! Kane was sitting on his play stand in the living room, just watching Bowie rob him blind and then try to escape with the loot...

So I've been picking Bowie up at Kane's cage at least 3 or 4 times a day and bringing him back to his. You are correct, it's very annoying constantly going back and forth. Kane has never once snapped at any of the smaller birds since I brought him home this past November, but he is also only a little over 6 months old. I don't like the risk of Kane making Bowie an afternoon snack, which I don't think he would, but you never know, especially once he hits puberty...And Bowie is absolutely fearless with everything.

I have been trying to figure out why in the world Bowie all of a sudden wants to hang out on Kane's cage. I know it's not that he wants to be with Kane because Kane is hardly ever in/on his cage, only when he's eating, napping, or playing with his toys, but that isn't often if I'm home and his door is open. Bowie is usually by himself when he is on Kane's cage. And Bowie's cage isn't much smaller than Kane's honestly, he's spoiled rotten because I've had him the longest out of all of my birds, and he was an "only bird" for quite some time. So he has a cage that is huge for him, more toys than anyone else, and basically the same food and treats as Kane (smaller pellets but both Natural Zupreem) except for the larger treats that Kane has, like Brazil nuts. But there is no way Bowie even knows that a Brazil nut in it's shell is even a nut! I actually let him have the one he was dragging and he had no idea what to do with it.

Oh well, I guess they are just the same as people are, they always want what they don't have!

Blue Fronted Amazon, Cookie..Sun Conure..lil Booger (RIP) Have owned Parakeets, lovebirds, cockatiels, cockatoos, pocket parrot, and quakers.
Got a similar situation myself. My BFA.. Cookie.. Male ... My SC... lil Booger...also male.. They have an amazing relationship and enjoy visiting each others cage, sampling the foods, playing with toys, etc. Cookie has "adopted" Booger as his "baby bird" complete with giving Booger feedings of crop milk. Cookie is very gentle and loving to Booger and they spend quality time together playing and preening each other. At first I was a bit worried Cookie could hurt Booger... but those fears are gone now. I frequently cage Booger in the cage with Cookie when I have to run to the store during the day... no worries. Occasionally I have seen Booger try to get pushy with Cookie.. and once in a blue moon Cookie will show Booger who is boss... with a "beak pop".. but never a bite. I figure I'm very lucky they get along like this. Never imagined that I'd use an Amazon as a babysitter for a Sun Conure... Birds are just amazing critters aint they!

I see my Quaker parrot doing the exact same thing to both my cockatiel and my green cheek, even though his cage is much larger than both of their cages, and he has just as many toys and the same kind of toys. What aggrevates me is that his toys go untouched, and their toys are all destroyed and need replaced more quickly.

I always chalked this up to jealousy, like my Quaker doesn't like that they have their own cages and toys, even though he has his own as well. He is bonded pretty closely with my green cheek, though he has of lately been distancing himself from the Quaker, I think he's getting a little overzealous with the preening and such of the green cheek. Bowie has pretty much had enough of it so he just flies to me or his play stand when the Quaker comes to his cage. The cockatiel is my only female, is much younger than the quaker, and she is having none of it! They do fight, so I have to separate them and watch them constantly because I honestly think Duff the tiel would hurt the male Quaker! She's just a vixen! She often scares him out of her cage so he just goes to the green cheek's, who just lets him. It is very tiring, having to constantly pick him up and give him a ride back to his cage. I actually started shutting him in his cage when I see him inside one of the other cages destroying their toys. He gets REALLY upset about this and gives me his best extremely loud Quaker parrot noises for a good 10-15 minutes, then he gives up. But as soon as I let him out again he's right back in their cages...

Funny thing is he doesn't even go within 10 feet of the Senegal's cage...He's the big, scary, green monster with the monster beak that the Quaker flies like a fighter jet away from. The senegal doesn't even pay any attention at all to him.

I'd be way for afraid of Duff, the female cockatiel. She means business!
