Does anyone's parrot enjoy a massage type scratch? Salty likes to have his neck muscles massaged thru the feathers, right down to his scrawny little neck. Sorry though, no happy ending.

short answer is yes. both Bingo and Pacho like there neck rubbed.

Yes Plum is the same but only given by hubby as I am obviously deficient in the massage stakes and the harder the better as far as he is concerned.

@ Flboy - the finger chomp could be because a pin feather was caught, Plum will bang his beak on bars/table he is sitting on if this happens.
Our DYH Amazon acts like such comfort things are below his status. Until, you're the only one in the room, than it more, more, more! But if any one or thing come into the room or passes by outside, its halt, stop!

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
Amy would be on my lap..within minutes her head is laying sideways on it,beaky partially open and her eyes closed. At times she would sit there for ten minutes or so..other times 30 seconds..silly amazon

Allen loves massages!! He demands for it everyday. Usually on my lap or on my shoulder. He demands by lowering his head and most of the time he would use his feet to point to where he wants to be scratched.
He likes to be scratch all over the head and his neck area. Especially around his eyes and below his beak.

Good stories guys. With Salty it's by day. Some days he wants scratches and neck rubs and actively asks for them, other days its play, play , play, and some days he wants nothing to do with anyone, even me. I've been home all day today,becasue of this storm, and its a nothing day :..-( . But he was talking to me all day, as I was working.
