And to think my mommy almost FORGOT to share with me earlier:eek::12::(!!! That cost her half a slice of her apple and look how delicately I ate it, despite my terrible scaly feet and raptor-talons, as not to waste a single bite:32:

(I have to look up out the skylight every few minutes. SOMEONE has to be responsible for the safety of this flock and to alert when a leaf, moth, interdimensional entity beyond human perception etc... is up there:p:rolleyes:;))

Don't let the deceptively handsome/adorable/innocent looks of a blue front fool you:p That's how they sucker unsuspecting humans in and make you spoil them:07:

We have our swing hanging on a small birdcage hanging stand, but ya, you could hang it on the ceiling too off a stainless ring screw thing. Might be a bit high up though... It's easy to move around and steams clean since it's stainless. I had to order it all the way from China because no US company I could find made an all stainless swing. Still not sure if any offer these. Kiwi has loved it since I unpackaged it and I have to boot his butt off it after a while or else he'd sit on that skinny stainless perch all day long:rolleyes:

Found it locally, I think it's a smaller version though..

New Stainless Steel Hanging Perch Bird Feeder Stand (4-Feeder)-Small | eBay

Gonna order it and hang from ceiling.. with a ceiling ring and chain to get desired height.

That does look a bit smaller than ours. They're great swings and virtually indestructible! I notice yours is on the AU eBay. Stainless anything for parrots is so hard to find in the US for some reason (and don't even think about a stainless cage unless you're rich!).

What a cutie! And left-footed, too! I've noticed most Amazons tend to be left-footed. If I see them using their right foot in a picture or movie, I wonder if it has been flipped horizontally. Long ago, I read an article about footedness in parrots and it said the percentages were about the same as they are for people. There are some right-footed Amazons, just as there are left-handed people.

Interestingly, every single African grey I raised was right-footed. All the Senegals were, too. Maybe there's something about Africa?

I wonder if there have been surveys about footedness for every species. Lately, I've been watching cockatoo videos (multiple species) and so far, I've seen a lot of lefties. I'd like to know which foot different species seem to prefer.

Lately, Azuli? Azula? Azulia? Kizzy? Jade? Olivia? Sapphira? Bijou? Joia? Sierra? has been trying to hold things in her left foot and can't quite do it. She ends up grabbing air with her left foot balled into a fist. XD XD XD I need to get some video of that before she gains too much coordination.

Kiwi is adorable. <3

I agree regarding the beauty of blue fronts. I've always thought they are among the prettiest of the Amazons, but I never told that to my DYH. :) I will let the new BFA know as soon as I think it won't go to her head too much.

BFA's are gorgeous birds, but the DYH family is right up there too, especially with the tres' marias DYH's:07:

They aren't available in the pet trade, but have you ever seen a St. Vincent's amazon? Or the almost PURPLE imperial amazons? Now those are some works of natural amazonian art:eek:!

Maybe as a foraging toy for a B&G??? I always love when you see something clearly made for smaller birds and they have a giant macaw somewhere in the image:34:

Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
Before Amy came along..I just considered Amazons as "green" parrots

I was working for a guy and went to his house one day and I was introduced to "Apollo" his BFA..Apollo was fully flighted and he buzzed around the living room and landed on Franks arm.. The COLORS in his arms (Apollo's..not Franks) were breathtaking! I was in awe.
Two weeks later,Amy was on her way home with me :D

Reds, blue, green, yellow.orange, sometimes even a black tail feather...Yep..BFA have to be the prettiest of the 'zon family IMO..but hey...I may be a tad prejudice :p

Kiwi is gorgeous,Tracy!!
