Hey guys and gals you helped me so much in preparation for bonkers to come home that I feel that I owe you an update! So far I'm convinced I adopted a large green cockatiel he's super calm and doesn't display any of the behaviors described in the amazon body language thread that I spent hours memorizing. Even in the spring time he displays literally no signs of aggression(which is awesome). He doesn't like his cage covered or closed really so I leave it open unless I'm leaving the house. He also is oddly afraid of food I have to eat several bites In front of him until he will take it in his foot and fling it at me but he eats his fruits and veggies eventually. He is also quite clingy and thinks that he needs to be on someone and given attention or he will explode. Other than that he is the perfect addition to the family and I have you all to thank for it.

Very happy to hear that the Baron is doing so very well!

Remember that the body language is a combination of general happy expressions and should he become overly excited you will see the additional displays (body language) and then everything heights beyond that. The knowledge does not need to be lived everyday, but it does need to be locked into your head. Visiting a Pet Store and confronted by an Amazon spinning over the top can happen!

Bonkers is getting proper sleep and is overall happy and that all helps for the enjoyment of life thing.

With all the great joy that Bonkers is enjoying and displaying, he also has a history and that will surface as oddities from time to time. Enjoy it as Bonkers just being Bonkers.

Good to hear from you good friend!

Enjoy!

Julio is doing very well!

He had to deal with the invasion of the Turkeys of his Kingdom this Spring. The return of the Geese (Canada Goose) Control Offices, which is played with for at least a couple of hours getting these poor Humans to move from 'his' front-yard to the back-yard by Goose calling out the front window and then moving to the back windows when the Control Offices moved to the other end of the house. Then the Crow's fledged their three babies in the backyard; that was just odd, it was like he was happy watching them flap-about. Also, he enjoyed them running-off the short return of the Turkeys. Currently, he enjoys watching the five different families of Red Tail Hawk's young practice high speed turns around 'his' southeast corner of the home. So, he has been very busy!!!

The really great news! He know has had a bunny butt (body feathers) on his rump for a bit over four months! Knock of wood, cross-fingers, etc, etc, etc...
