....OMG what a dufuss I am lol.

Did grocery shopping yesterday and got some stuff for the kids.
I picked up a couple habenaro <sp> and..the other HOT one for them.
So last night I just cut a few pieces and added to Amys nummy bowl..I made the mistake of touching my face/eyes  :( Holy !@#%!!
Copious amounts of water and eye drops did little to ease the burn lol
Going to try and make a little chop and will wear GLOVES when handling those bad boys :52:

Elli (CAG) loves habaneros for a snack, it's really nice feeling when after that she sticks her tongue to your nose, it's quite nice in ear too but it wont beat the nose :p

LoL Jim. Good thing you didn't have to pee right after you cut them up. There's a whole new vocabulary for when that happens. Ask me how I know.

Can all birds have hot peppers? Are you sure it won't bother them? I'm scared to give them to Peanut so I've only given her jalapenos so far.

I personally love hot peppers, over the years I've become tolerant to them and they're almost addictive. I don't rub them in my face and eyes though lol.

birds love hot peppers!

I can't remember exactly why but for them peppers don't burn them and they get a really nice taste from it

Yeah, well try contact lens removal after hot peppers! Now that is an experience. Jumping around the house really entertained the bird though.

I believe it is because capsaicin (organic compound that makes peppers hot) does not affect birds.

Sorry to hear this, Jim. AFAIK rinsing with water has some but little effect. But it feels better! Just takes time to absorb... seems like forever!

That's it! I didn't use to be effected by that until an unfortunate incident involving part of my tongue falling off, ever since it healed have struggled with spicy food

I've read this, and I'm sure it's true, I like hot peppers, I've had a ghost pepper in texas on a trip, but I can't seem to get it through my head that the capsaicin won't hurt him. We do eat those sweet peppers together ALL the time. One day I'll relent I'm sure...it just seems scary.
