I am taking Bingo back to our vet today.

Today would normally be my first day back to work after the Christmas shutdown but Bingo is still presenting problems with his breathing.

When he breaths in/out I can hear a popping or bubbling noise. I have seen a clear discharge coming from one nostril (left nostril). Both discharge and breathing noise is intermittent.

He seems to be acting normal otherwise though I think he may be sleeping a bit more that normal.

What I am really afraid of is that he may have a tumor in his sinus. Bingo has never been anesthetized and in order to get a x-ray they will need to do that.
I understand just putting him under is risky.

I have had Bingo since 1986.

Please keep Bingo in your thoughts and prayers.

It’s always stressful when there’s something unknown going on with a close companion. Will be thinking of you guys and sending positive thoughts to Bingo.

Yes Wes...you and Bingo are in Amy and BB and my thoughts as well..offering hugs and well wishes for sure!
Amy had to be "put under" once, when Smokey bit his tongue, and it required five stitches..it was frightening,to say the least!
Obviously,Bingo is quite abit older than Amy was, when this happened..it's easy to say "don't worry" but VERY hard not to!

Like I said...prayers and well-wishes for your little green guy! Please keep us updated! (stupid statement..coz I know you will )

Good luck with Bingo. Hopefully it's just a cold. What made you think it might be a tumor?

If it was/is some kind of cold I would expect a nasal discharge from both nostrils not just on one side.

It could be some kind of dust or debris in his nasal passage that would be the best news. That might be fixed with a flush of his nasal passage.

The tumor idea is just my fear from watching too much Dr. K's exotic vet show.

I'm voting for: "It could be some kind of dust or debris in his nasal passage that would be the best news. That might be fixed with a flush of his nasal passage." With the Fires a few weeks ago its just as likely, also easier on the mind.

Keeping Bingo in the Prays.

Just got back.
Gram - bacteria is gon but no gram + bacteria.
Was given probiotics for x2 a day. If breathing problems persists will do x-ray.

I am worried but not super worried.
IF he was exhibiting symptoms all the time I would have pressed for x-ray.

He has been showing signs of normal hormonal behavior recently. wanting to rub his bum on my hand and walking around on the floor. Trying to get into dark corners.
His apatite is ~ normal. He talks and dances like normal.
Gave him a shower on Saturday and he enjoyed himself greatly.
He has even been playful with me, rolling on his back, beak wrestling and growling away.

It's just this funny noise breathing and sleeping what to me seems more than normal.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Glad you are so observant, Wes, and got Bingo to the vet. Hoping the antibiotics will cure his breathing!
