Well I tried using hotter water today for Pepsi's bath and she had so much fun, so I had to grab the camera and get pictures to remember the one time she actually enjoyed bath time.

You can see her really getting into it. The pictures really make me laugh. :18:

They are wonderful, what a great time she seems to be having. Just goes to show what love can do for a gal, makes you wonder if she had many baths before she found you doesn't it. They are truley amazing.

Wish Bucc would like them half as much as Pepsi is loving hers. :D

Those are brilliant pictures! The Fiancee and I had a great laugh over them. Tracy, Pepsi must be such a wonderful addition to your household.

She really is, wish she would start talking but if she don't thats ok, I always got Popsicle who likes to say Step Up over and over again. I love watching her have those bath times except my hand gets tired from spraying her. She actually came out of her cage yesterday, well I kinda tricked her. When she climbing around and got on the door I opened it so she crawled on the outside of the cage and I had to grab her down with a towel (last resort). Then we laid her on the floor and she took off running all over the apartment with her butt wiggling it was too cute.

She still never learned that she can step up onto my hand but we'll give it another try maybe today.

Thats great news Tracy, it won't be long now before she realises that its fun to be out and that hand will always put her back when she's had enough. She has done so well and come a long way since she found you. :07:

I'm so glad you found a way to give her a shower that she actually enjoys! It's a lot of fun to watch them get really into it too. Good Job! :D

tracy I would like to make suggestion......it is something I learned here.....but everything I have learned has been on this site...lol

1) the sprayer for baths- your arm will feel like it is ready to fall off by the time you get her wet enough for a good shower with a spray bottle. I learned here that instead of one like that find you a sprayer that don't require all that squeezing. A bug sprayer will work wonders.
My Sammy was cage bound and had not been near a shower with his last owner ( think I am the 3rd) and was with them over a year. I started with the spray bottle. Then I decided one day to take him into the shower with me.I put him on the sink and talked to him the first time. After a couple of days I got him on the shower rod. But I didn't put him in the shower at all. I just let him sat on the shower rod and watch. talking to him the whole time. I think it was the 3rd or 4th shower that he said "come'mere" to me ( a new word I taught him by always asking him to
"come'mere" when he was on the cage), held up a hand he climbed on so I held him close to the water but not under it, before I know it he is leaning under it happy as could be.

2) picking him up- I am a first time bird mom, so I was very nervous with Sammy in the beginning. so when I started trying to hold him I did this. I would stand in front of the cage talking to him for a bit. Then I would open the door and talk. then step away and watch to learn how he acted. if he acted like he wanted to come out I would approach again slowly , always talking to him asking if he wanted to come out. I would finally get over the fear and put my hand in, before long he was trying to step up to get out. I would hold him close enough to the cage he could reach to grab if he wanted to so he would see he had an out if he was uncomfortable. that started our trust. I increased everything from that point a lil at a time.
Now I cant hardly remember when I went through the fears of holding him. funny how that works.

Most of his changes/improvements were done within a 2 month period.

I hope this may help you too.
