This video is a classic tune done by Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention..for those who back in the mid '70's might recall...if they weren't too stoned out of their minds lol

Anyway...its that time for another batch of muffins for the kids..i'm getting a bit frustrated now,it seems I can't please the green dinosaur with much these days...she just kinda looks at them, then me..and turns away
Of course nutrition is THE most important part, followed by taste..but how can you make a MUFFIN look "pleasing" to the eye?? Add :D faces???
Honestly,I've even sampled a piece or two and if not for the "crunchy" parts..i.e. pellets and ground seed...they are not bad at all:p

So tonight its kind of acrappy, raw wet night out..so with beer in hand, and the stereo turned to classic rock..I'll spend a few hours in the kitchen with the kids and make a mess lol.

so...here is what i'm using for goodies..is it too much stuff? not enough stuff?? nutritious?? Should I add/remove things?? Advice/thoughts are always welcome!

All the goodies are 100% organic;

banana
peppers...red/orange
radish
broc
green beans
grapes
pellets (amy's)
Amy seed
BB seed
BB's fruity pellets
pumpkin seed/flax
rolled oats
Quinoa
corn meal
brown rice
hemp seed hearts
chia seed
white wheat flour
honey..

GRRRR I don't have any eggs!

LOVE Frank Zappa and Mothers! I had a high school roommate who was a huge fan. She had EVERYTHING he ever did! I listened to a lot of it that year! I do remember much of it, but I'm sure there is some of it I missed due to age and circumstance! ;) Billy the Mountain was one of my favs!

Amy is a lady of distinction, she obviously values presentation. Maybe putting cute smiley faces on them would encourage her to eat them! ;) Or maybe shape it into tiny pellets?

Your recipe sounds a lot like my chop with a few changes of course. Maybe more fruit to sweeten it up a bit? I honestly have no idea. My fidget will eat anything I throw at him and Charlie wont eat anything but pellets and peanuts with a side of pine nuts.

Maybe she will eat it when you arent looking? Good Luck!

Well I'm done mixing, now baking..That ungrateful ingrate of an Amazon!

Amy was on her "T" stand on the kitchen table and Beebs was on my shoulder,as I cleaned, and cut and put items in the chopper. I offered pieces of EVERYTHING to Amy has I prepared them..how 'bout a grape Amy??NOPE! Brocoli? NAHH! orange?pepper, radish? forget it...no way..you gotta be kidding me right? The ONLY thing she took a bite from was banana :mad:
I told her she's gonna be eating seed and pellets for a LONG TIME!!

BB however, was jumping on the mixing bowl, barring his yellow face in everything making his little cockatiel yummy sounds lol.

Looks like I have enough stuff for maybe thirty muffins...we'll see what Amy thinks when they cool down...I think Beebers will enjoy! Now I need a beer

Love Zappa....Baby too.....music is awesome!
I wish I had the recipes of what my other half would kindly refer to as 'birdie bread'...made one at a time in a cup with all kinds of stuff. garlic/seeds/veg/fruit/flax etc.
The trick with Baby sometimes is to make a production of it before she gets it. Like opening a gift or a burger from a 'not-good-for-u-fast-food-joint'...Open the bag.....unwrap/uncover....add hot sauce......etc Then when the bird really really 'has to have it' before all other her bowls & toys are tossed out....then and only then do you give it to them. (it is a must that you first have a bite first) :)
