...well I called Nationwide this morning. One of the plans they have for fid's seems pretty good to me.
The plan I'm interested in will cover just about everything. Yearly wellness checks,bloodwork,cultures,x-rays and meds.
They will pay up to $2,000 per incident,up to $7,000 yearly.
It's a $50 co-pay and they will pay 90% of the bill..crud,I didn't ask if there was an amount you need to hit before they start coverage
Of course they don't cover pre-existing problems
The age of the fid(s) doesn't matter.
This particular "plan" would cover BOTH Amy and The Beebs,for $42.35 a month. They offered another plan,differnt coverage of course,for about half the cost.
I talked to the hospital that I take the kids to and they told me they don't deal with the insurance company directly,thats up to the patient,but will give any and all paperwork necessary to make a claim,so its basically you pay up front,then get reimbursed. That still makes it touch if you're looking at a $1,000 bill
