Thank you for giving this darling a home!
I can't wait to follow her happy journey with you and your husband.
She's a beauty. I see such hope and openness in her eyes!
Bless you for taking Petie into your home and your life.
Greys can be slow and suspicious to trust people and new things. Once they accept you they are very affectionate without being Velcro.
Give both you and her time. Good things will come and you will have a very caring owner. Yes that bird will own you and you will love it.
Sunny a female B&G macaw;
Japie (m) & Appie (f), both are congo african grey;
All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
Peetie doesn't really care very much for me but she is more tolerant of me than Charlie is to hubby. We got her to be primarily his birdie. He wanted one that he could hold and handle and that's what we found at the rescue. Peetie adores him and preens him and hangs out with him every where in the house. Ha! I've even caught him toy shopping online for her. I think he is beginning to get that old bird fever, just like us Amazon nuts! I am so happy for both of them. Thank y'all for the suggestion of a rescue! It was two and a half hours away but worth it!
