Lol. Poor Kiwi. We had rigged his swing up to hang in the window with suction cups and have been doing this for months with 0 issues. Well I was in the other room and hear this "pop". Like instinct... I knew something was not right with a sound like that and came running. It was about the time I rounded the corner the whole swing, Kiwi and all came crashing out of the window.

Being clipped, Kiwi flies low and slow and only when literally no other option exists and pure instinct kicks in. Being unwilling/unable to learn to fly (hence why he remains clipped) he flies full steam ahead until he is stopped by a solid object (i.e. can't control direction nor land). Forgive my description, as I'm not much of a sports person, but like those slow motion replays the guy makes this amazing football catch? Yup, in what felt like slow motion I ran across the room (teleported perhaps?) and managed to catch myself a big green football mid-air before he crashed. Kiwi is 100% fine but less than amused to have be caught around the body:p. I myself am shocked as I am not athletically inclined whatsoever so how I managed to catch him, I don't know but I'm glad I did or else he would have progressed in a downward manner into the back of the kitchen wall. Guess no more window swing until I figure a more...secure method to mount it.

Awesome job!

Just a FYI thing...those suction cup thingies..personally I can't stand them! I had one of those perch thingies for the shower and EVERY TIME my poor green dino was having a blast getting wet..POP! the poor girl would crash to the bottom of the tub  She got to the point where she wouldn't step up on it anymore. Couldn't blame her

Few things scare Kiwi. If anything, he mostly seemed offended that his majestic plumage has been defiled (touched) by human hands (Kiwi is not the 'petting' type).

It is amazing what you can do when the adrenaline and parrontal instincts kick in.

I catch Gracie in the air several times a week. I think she actually likes it. But then the word normal doesn't often apply to me and my friends. Animal or otherwise.:D

Sad that the News cameras had not been attending that game! As Kiwi and you would have likely made the end of season replays.
You likely got one of those Amazon Looks: What are you doing? I had this handled! FYI: Your hands are on me! And No, I'm not thanking you! :D

Happy all turned out well!
