Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(
And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
...we went for a little ride today. I had located my long lost Garmin GPS and had to do some calibration and map updates and took a ride to check it out,and of course I took the green dino with me. I can't stop bubbling about how happy he is while going for a ride..no..HONESTLY...Amy is a different bird. He gets so happy and playful. Grabbing at my glasses. When I went to adjust them on my head,he lunged at my fingers, only to stop short, grabbed my finger and gently mouthed it and then rubbed his beak against my cheek as he let me kiss the top of his head. Have I ever mentioned,he does NOT act like this at home?? Someone stole Amy and replaced him with another Blue Front
We stopped at the local market so I could get him already cooked chicken drum sticks ( for the bones of course) a small plastic bowl of sheppard pie ( he and Beebs like a little of real 'smashed tater and corn) and a bag of grapes.
People there were of course saying " oh my! look at the beautiful bird! )
Some guy started talking about his lizards and snakes
All sorts of questions and comments from people ( I noticed Amy is a "chick magnet" )
Then a ride to the local donut factory for a brekky sammich, coffee, and plain munchkin, however Amy preferred to nibble/munch on my ham, egg, and cheese English muffin.
The main thing about this is,he was SO happy..and SO good..and SO playful..and SO gentle.
I have to encourage those folks who have fid's who enjoy going for rides,to take 'em out once in awhile and pay attention to how they act and let them experience something new. It's always a new world for Amy,even if we go to the same places, and he shows his appreciation for me doing this every single time
I found a dashcam on ebay that also records the cabin activity, which I will be purchasing in the very near future lol.
