Can anyone help with this!!??

I'm not sure you can see it so good on the picture.

My yellow crowned amazon screen has a
Bump/swollen area around the top of his cere.

Can anyone give any advice, or have you seen this before
In any of your birds?? He seems OK in his self
Although is making some wheezing noises
When he sleeps. So I went to check and saw this bump. Is it an infection or could he have hit his nose? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

That looks like a cyst of some kind. Amy had one similar in the same location. His doctor had to drain it and I had to give him antibiotics for twelve days. I strongly suggest you get your baby to a certified avian vet..one who deals specifically with birds, not an "exotic" vet or dog/cat vet.

Welcome to the forum.
Sorry you have a sick bird.

Wheezing and this bump, yes you need an avain vet specialist.

Also diet can play a role in health. They need veggies that have vitamin A , like carrots, orange and red bell peppers, hot red chilli peppers, cooked sweet potato... Many vitamins that they get from veggie and leafy green , actually work to keep them healthy.

I agree. My Sam had a similiar bump and it was diagnosed as an infection. It was drained and he was on antibiotics for 10 days. Cleared up well. That was 30 years ago and he is still going strong! Amazons rule.
