Pretty excited I hung it on his play stand for a couple of days. Then today I
he was totally into playing with it and not the least bit scared of it for the most part. Almost put his own head right into the head hole. I feel like Perry is an excellent candidate for outings. He takes most everything in stride and maybe it’s because of his age but he doesn’t seem surprised by much. Can’t wait for warmer weather. Do you guys feel like it’s good or bad to put the leash on him and not go outside? He will be rewarded for sure but I will have to watch the video again. I thought it said not to put the leash on unless they get the reward of going outside. Thanks for listening!

PearBear and his new harness. Probably gonna have to get a second. So far he’s not able to damage it too much though!

Thats great that he is cool around it. I think as long as he is rewarded for putting it on , treat or otherwise, it will be OK to put him in harness and not actually go outside. We put Salty in his almot every night, and he gets a pine nut treat. Once its on, I jiggle it a bit and then reward him right away, so he knows that is why he is being rewarded. He'll do a few hand tricks ( shake hands, give high five and wave hello) with it on. Its so commonplace now that its like changing the water in his cage, its that pedestrian to him, which is a good thing.

Oh yeah , we went through 2 of them before he decided to stop chewing on it.
