...in the nose...ME!..by that so-and-so Amy  Last night..he was all lovey-dovey with me,preening my beard, gently nibbling my probiscus, than BAM! Under beak inside my left nose and upper beak firmly implanted on the outside as he friggin hung on as tight as he could. Blood dripping like a leaky faucet. Now I have a HOLE big enough to insert a diamond stud. Thanks BIRD.

Lol poor jim! Two face bites and Parker’s shoulder privileges were gone.

Sounds like Amy might be coming into the spring season

So in other words, your personal Stylist decided you need a nose-piercing?

Yup, I'm going with a need for facial metal with a stylized diamond to highlight the metal... :D

Replay the event in your mind, any possibilities that he lost his balance, or something scared him!?!? That would make more sense than an out of the blue nose-piercing.

Sorry for the humor Jim...
But, sometimes a bit of levity helps, especially from this side of the event...

Hate to say it Jim, but you don't strike me as a nose piercing kind of guy. I guess Amy knows better than I. It must be spring! Seriously though, so sorry it happened, and hope you're okay my friend.

Sorry about the old schnozz.
Pacho was a good one for biting without warning.
Bingo nailed me on the ear while shoulder surfing. Was standing next to the sliding glass door. I guess he must of seen something he did not like.

It's hard to know what's in there mind if there body language doesn't show anything.

'Boats he was firmly perched on my fingers, definately no loss of balance..yep I tend to agree with spring being in the air,as both of them are molting. And this even happened after giving him his favorite treat...a chicken bone.

I love ya, Jim, and it is with great regret that I take Amy's side. You know I have to!

But i am so, so, so sorry. I know the heartache of bearing a wound from a beloved bird. You (and others here!) have seen photos of the carnage.

Neosporin, my friend.

*sigh*

OMG Jim, that's awful. Has Amy ever done this to you before? During past Spring seasons?

If this is totally new, has me worried. Gonzo was the sweetest thing until he wasn't. After the first bite he developed a taste for blood.

Oh boy those sudden piercings so unexpected! Amy just decided you had waited long enough?

It smarts when they get you like that in the feels and in the wound itself. I still bear the scar and discomfort in my finger from Kevin’s torpedo three months ago. Kevin has nailed me twice and this has me concluding he will never have shoulder privileges even though we’re making so much progress.

But since you do have a piercing might as well wear the bling! Maybe a hoop?

Eesh!

My eyes are watering just reading about that bite.
I haven't adopted yet, and hadn't even considered a nose bite.

I can't blame him I guess..my fault for having him so close to my face. I just figured that when we are "going for a ride" and he is on my shoulder,he's just so gentle when he is being lovey. He knows bite pressure for the most part. He was on my hand and I was kissing his head and rubbed my nose on his head and gave him a big sniff. Maybe he did get p.o. at me coz I told him I would take him for a ride the other day to get supplies but didn't coz it was too cold..my bad for making promises and not keeping them
