So yesterday, I kept noticing Kiwi at his water dish wayyyy more than usual and didn't see him at his food dish at all. By afternoon, I was growing concerned his bad kidney was acting up on him again or possibly some other illness, though he seemed to be acting otherwise normally. A little later in the afternoon, when I was making a smoothie for myself and prepared him a fresh fruit bowl, I finally realized what was going on when I put it in his cage- I had accidentally put his food dish where his water dish usually is and visa versa
I guess spending 3 nights straight up with a fussy baby does not necessarily make ones brain run at "full capacity":33: Mr. Kiwi is well and healthy, his human just pulled an unintentional prank on him (or maybe myself? he wasn't fooled lol).
