1 BFA- Kiwi. Hatch circa 98', forever home with us Dec. 08'
So yesterday, I kept noticing Kiwi at his water dish wayyyy more than usual and didn't see him at his food dish at all. By afternoon, I was growing concerned his bad kidney was acting up on him again or possibly some other illness, though he seemed to be acting otherwise normally. A little later in the afternoon, when I was making a smoothie for myself and prepared him a fresh fruit bowl, I finally realized what was going on when I put it in his cage- I had accidentally put his food dish where his water dish usually is and visa versa:rolleyes: I guess spending 3 nights straight up with a fussy baby does not necessarily make ones brain run at "full capacity":33: Mr. Kiwi is well and healthy, his human just pulled an unintentional prank on him (or maybe myself? he wasn't fooled lol).

LOL--- YUP....Glad I'm not the only one with a bird who randomly decides to get weird about stuff. I move stuff around all of the time but I once set a pen on a table in Noodles' room and she was very interested/mildly concerned (I was thinking...my gosh...what ia happening)--took me about 24 hours to figure it out lol.

Mrs Boats has very strict rules as to placement of Julio's food and water bowls. Then, he and I go to the cabin, he gets his food and water, but location is not as precise. Like any guy, he survives well enough... No complaints or stink eye! Just guy time at the cabin.

FYI: Julio really liked the photo of Kiwi babysitting!!!
