Sally's new cage set up... That would be a happy bird strut... body language. Straight up, tail flair, eyes going, happy noises. NOT the line of death dance.

I GOT the line of death dance when I was taking her old cage apart right in front of her. She was NONE too pleased! Strutting around on her playstand making upset bird noises at me... tail flaired. Eyes going. Distressed noises. THAT'S MINE!

And we're waiting on replacement parts for Lila's cage which arrived broken.

The old cages were literally 20 years old, and they were falling apart. It was time. BUT they all threw an absolute fit when I started switching out cages... THAT'S MY STUFF! WHAT ARE YOU DOING...

Kiwi was most unhappy when her favorite toys got moved to "THAT THING!" Then, of course, she was back in play mode, and there were all kinds of new toys, and new stuff to explore, and she was full on happy noises...

Sally has lived in her cage for 20 years, and CHANGE was not something she was open to... UNTIL I gave her a new wine box and a new soda box. THEN SHE IMMIDATELY went from having NOTHING to do with the new cage to GIMME IT - THAT'S MINE! After an hour or two, it's like she has lived in that one her whole life...

Tusk hid under the kitchen table for about an hour. Would not come out. Then he finally perched on Lila's door (the only remaining old cage) Fine, I'll take this one. But eventually treats and new toys got the better of his attitude, and he decided HIS new cage was not the end of the world...

Lila's cage parts are supposed to be delivered on Monday. That will be the last of them. I've been wanting new cages for these guys for awhile now, but they've just gotten so expensive...

Just like a zon... recoil in horror one minute... the next minute... THAT'S MINE! Don't touch...

Tusk was the biggest baby of the bunch. Threw a fit! Went and hid under the table. Sulked for awhile. I just ignored him, and eventually he came out on his own. The familiar cage at first... but eventually he came around.

Hopefully these will last another 20 years.

The missing parts from the last cage finally came today. Got the whole thing finished. NEW BIRDROOM SETUP...

I'd post a picture, but apparently my picture capacity has been exceeded.

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
If you want to post new pictures, upload to your album and link from there. The attachment limit is annoying, but if you make it an album on here (right-hand side of your profile page I believe) and link the picture url after putting them in an album, you won't face the same size limits.

Click your blue username in the top right-- when you go to your main page, look at the banner on the left and scroll down to albums---- go from there. You can copy the URL and attach as you would a link.
