It measures 36"L x 24"D x 66"H with 3/4' wire spacing. The cage area is approx. 36" x 24" x 42"

It's for an Amazon parrot since I posted it in the Amazon forum. I was wondering if anyone had this specific cage or any of the other Prevue brand cages.

I want to get a cage with a play top and a tray on the top so that the bird has another place to play and when he's on top of the cage he can't poop all over everything inside the cage.

That's a great brand. I use a cage just like this for my two conures and they are very happy in there. The only problem with using it for an Amazon is the height of the play area. You probably don't want your parrot to be that high up or it will start to act out and try to establish dominance over you. Of course this isn't always the case, but it's always something to worry about.

See "Parrot Training" by Bonnie Munro Doane. It's a great book and it's not overly-technical and it deals with parrot behavior a lot.
