Im going to look at a Indian Ringneck tomorrow. The woman is downsizing her flock and wants to rehome him. This is the info she gave me....he's only a little over a year old, talks very well, but is cage aggressive. She has to get him out of his cage with a perch, once he's out of the cage he's fine.

Ive never dealt with a cage aggressive bird before. Is it possible to work with him so he wont be cage aggressive? Anyone here have an Indian Ringneck tat can give me some pointers? Any help here would be great. Im supposed to go see him at noon tomorrow.

It's possible that the bird is going through the "bluffing" stage that ringnecks go through.
A lot of birds are rehomed at that age because they go through this and bite their people.
They get over it and are sweet little birds. I used to have one that passed away last year. I highly recommend them.

Jensflock, Im probably going to be bringing him home. I know how I am and I wont be able to walk out of there without him. She told me he bites if you try to get him out wit your hand instead of a perch so he spends alot of time in the cage. Im just wondering if I can help him with this, over time of course. They sure are beautiful birds.
