Im currently keeping Kia in one room and Paco in another. There's no door seperating them, the doorway is too big. Ever since Paco got here Kia has been trying to get to him. Paco's recently been to the vet, so today I took both birds to a neutral place in the house away from the cages to meet. I figured if Kia met him she would calm down. Well she hates him. He actually doesnt mind her but she's really trying to bite him. I picked her up and started petting her then I put her back down but not in front of him. She eventually made her way over to him and went after him. I would have thought he would have been the aggressor not her. My question is, is there anyway for them to get along? Is there anything I can do to help Kia like him? I dont know if I should keep trying or leave it alone. I dont want Paco to get hurt.

I can't really speak about Toos and IRN but if they where amazons Kia wouldn't give up trying. Seems like they decide pretty quickly if they like something or not.And don't usually change their mind.I'd be careful, they can be sneaky. Sorry i don't have a magic fix. I would keep them apart, maybe things will change later ,but i doubt it. I have 2 YNA hens who've been after each other for 10+yrs.

I'd have to give the same advice as Henpecked. I have a Lovebird & Parrotlet that try to attack each other when they can. I do take them out at same time, but keep them apart. Both are flighted, so I have to watch carefully. They get more out of cage time seperately alone. It is difficult, and birds that have issues with each other don't give up easily. Many things can set them off...like being on/with you, on each others cage, or going after same treat/toy. Taking them to neutral area can help, but these are strongly emotional beings. Your best bet is to keep them apart.

Im keeping them apart for now. Maybe i'll try again in a few months. I was hoping they would at least tolerate eachother and be able to be on the playstand. Thanks for the advice ;)
