Are these good signs?

Johnny's started to do this strange clicking sound with his beak. What does it mean? Is he content or irritated with me?

Another thing I've noticed is that he would lift his foot often times- does it mean anything or just that he enjoys looking at his foot (lol).

He also rubs his beak against my hand when I ask him to step up, or tap his beak against my hand.

Are these bad signs?

Beak clicking & beak grinding are signs of contentment.....

The foot raising is a 'high 5,' also a good sign.....my Patagonian does it to wave & to let me know she wants up.....if I ignore her she'll either fly to me or start screaming.....although.....Johnny may think he needs a new pedicure.....

Both signs you're accepted & he's giving you attention.....probably looking for reciprocal scritches.....

May galahs tap or beak my hand when I ask them to step up and they dont want to comply LOL They are just politely saying "no thankyou". Sometimes I let them be

If I have to move them, I take my hand back or give them a scratch first, then try again. They normally happily step up the second time around. Unless Mana is on my partner (who she bonded with) she will just peck at me and if I push it, she will bite (lightly).

lol my green cheek uses his foot to push my finger away when he doesn't want to step up off his perch! It's so much more polite than biting. (Though, he does still bite when he's feeling cranky.)
