I'd like to organize a handful of well thought out and organized articles of basic information for new parrot owners.
It seems there are many recurring issues and while I am happy to discuss them with new members it seems some of us are often repeating the same advice over and over again.
Of course most issues need to be addressed on an individual basis - this may be particularly true in the behavioral area - but still there are a handful of basic ideas which could be put together and put in "sticky" threads which stay at the top of the appropriate forum topic area.
For the experienced and knowledgeable members here I'd like to open an invitation to submit such articles on whichever area you feel you are qualified.
Topics which could be covered:
Basic intro for new birds
Step-up command
Building trust
Dealing with biting
Dealing with screaming
Potty training
Diet / Feeding
Cage options
There may be many more you could suggest.
Any volunteers or discussions of the topics can be done on this thread. Once we decide who will write what we can each put together our posts and I can "sticky" them.
