Sniffing really fast while cuddling

Blaze ~ Sun Conure
Ever since I purchased Blaze, she's been an extreme snuggler. She loves laying right on my chest where my hair falls, or she'll climb up onto my shoulder and lean against my neck. It's just the cutest, little thing. However, she does this rapid sniffing (I guess you could call it an avian version of panting?) thing and shakes when she gets comfortable. I don't really understand what it means to be completely honest so I'm confused.

Blaze is only 7-months old. Though we call her a girl, there's something in my gut that says "male" instead because of how attached Blaze is to me. Sure, my boyfriend will get cuddles every now and again, but there's no denying that the majority of this bird's affection belongs to me. Yet and still, Blaze will do the same sniffing thing to my guy so I don't think the person is the reason. Can anyone explain this to me? What does it mean?

Is it like a huffing/puffing sort of thing? My galah does that, it means they are happy. Not sure whether that's what your bird is doing but, if so, it's a sign of contentment.

Yep, every morning my Lily does the same thing, huffing and puffing while running her beak up and down on my chest under my shirt. She tops it off by running up to my lips and kiss. So funny those little GCC clowns.

It seems to be huffing. I think you were right, strudel. She's with one of my friends right now, chirping to her like she does to me. So I guess she is just happy. :D
