hey so here is whats going on. ive had my jardine for about 3 months now. my girlfriend has been home with him almost everyday since we bought him in jan. for the longest time he absolutely loved her and was always nice around her, he didnt like me as much but was always well mannered. a few weeks ago my GF went to visit her family for two weeks , when she came back he hates her. he growls and is nippy whenever she goes near him. the only time he behaves now is with me. i figured hed be very happy to have her back. im just trying to figure out why this has happened and how we should go about correcting the problem. thanks for your time.

He might not remember her, and now sees her as a stranger and a potential threat. He's just protecting you (in his mind). She just needs to hang around in the room more often, and just don't get too close until he feels better about her.

Patience and consistent training is so important, so keep trying.

Hi and welcome gutter224, lovely forum with wonderful members.
Let your girlfriend spend some time alone with the bird, just sitting near the cage talking and interacting. Talk, whistle and singing always grabs their attention. Let her continue interacting on a daily basis. Not attempting to touch or hold the bird at all. He must gain her trust. When the bird seems more relaxed, let her offer him a treat, through the bars at first. At a later stage, with the door open, leaving a treat near the opening. He might not budge at first, hopefully eventually he will take it.
Could take days or even weeks, just preserve and be patient.
Good luck
