My conure has somewhat of a music obsession. He's always giving me kisses whenever I sing, and he does it when he hears anyone whose voice he likes singing. If it's on a computer, he blows kisses at the screen. He recerntly started doing this head bobbing thing. It's not a regular parrot head bob, I've seen that. He jerks his little head all over the place, and I've realized that he's dancing. Today, I was sort of preparing myself for practicing acting with my friend M (see my acting thread), and I was using this video. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_QqDtUAQi0]YouTube - Jitterbug from our school play Wizard of Oz[/ame] I was saying the lines, singing, and doing the dance. I noticed that he flew over and sat on my shoulder while I did so several times. When it got into the more active dancing, he would fly back to his cage, but he kept coming back. He always fluffs up when I listen to music he likes, and cocks his head like he's wondering where it's coming friend. I called a parrot owner friend and asked him, and he said his bird loves to dance. Do parrots just like music? Why was my bird so fascinated with all that dancing and singing?

Dusty also likes to Dance. If I turn on the radio and he will sing to the music and dance to it.

Aw that is adorable dancing. It is so intresting how there is no music, except from nature in the wild, and parrots really seem to be musically inclined. My Rosie does not dance yet but I have tried to show her how. I guess she is wondering if I have lost my marbles.

I would love to know exactly what a bird thinks of us, at times.
Imagine being a bird for a minute, being asked to do something, and they don't want to do it What do they say tweet tweet ???????
