Jet had been screaming off and on for a couple of hours. He was also at edge of cage flapping his wings like he wanted to fly and screaming. Thinking he wanted me I went over to get him. I get hissed at and pecked at so I stepped away. Well he just did it again but fluttered down to ground then screamed. I went and got him. He is now sitting on my shoulder and enjoying a treat of unsalted sunflower seed. I only give one or two a day and only when he is on me.

It seems to me he wanted me but at the same time did not want me having him step up from his cage. Oh and I don't have to say up he just does it when he gets the visual signal and he wants to. I can't rub his belly because he steps up.

Sounds like Tazzy. Sometimes they just don't know what they want and nothing they do makes any sense ;) He'll holler his head off if I leave the room and then I'll go try to pick him up and he runs away. I'll leave again and he'll throw an even bigger fit and then he'll jump up on me on his own and climb my shirt up to my shoulder like I should have known the first time this was how it was supposed to go down. I just shake my head and walk on. It would be so nice to understand and speak bird talk huh?

Yeah that would be nice. He can be sitting on me preening, preening me, singing, taking food and all. Seemingly very comfortable and happy with me. As soon as he steps off me in or on his cage he hisses and acts like he's a out to bite. He has put his beak on me but with no more pressure than a beak. Even when acting very angry he hasn't bit me yet.
