Hi there,

Rosie has brought me so much joy these past 3 weeks. Please could you guys/gals give me some insite on something Rosie does. Please forgive me if it sounds silly  not to know what it means but I have gone from a parrot that did hardly any body language to a very busy lil gal who does things I have never seen before.

Rosie is busy sitting in her cage and is singing, not screaming but singing with lil chatters. Her head is down and her eyes are closed - she also lifts her head with her eyes closed. What does this mean? Is she content, happy, chilled. Im not being typcially me and worrying Im just interested to know what it means. She puffs up now and again and has been singing like this for about 15 minutes. Normally she is dying to get out of her cage but is now just chilling....I love her so much....pity she is still biting - lol...I call her my "Guard dog" ;)

She sounds so cute! :D The singing and lil chatters tells me she is happy and content. Maybe she is closing her eyes because she is concentrating on what she is saying. She is practicing a new word maybe?

Reptiles close their eyes when they are stressed and try to shut out the world or the stressful thing. :D

Fred does that as well. He's napping, eyes closed, and muttering softly to himself.... Seems like contentment to me.

Its so cute....lol, my lil ADD gal! :) You can sit and watch them all day...its like she is having a very serious singing/chatting conversation and alot of muttering.
