I have a green cheeked conure that I hand raised and he is about 2 months old now. He is very attached to me and I am working with him to get him to enjoy playing alone with his toys. He is slowly becoming more comfortable being away from me.
He doesn't scream too much in his cage and when he does I don't give him attention. The issue is that when he is out he loves to sit on my shoulder and and chirp really loudly in my ear NONSTOP. I have never heard a bird scream before but I looked up some videos and it sounds like what people describe as screams. He seems happy and content I just want to make sure this is normal and if there is a way to discourage it. He only started doing this recently.
