For me, when Donut wants my attention she waves her foot because I wave my hand when I want her to look at me too. :p

That sounds awful cute =)

Dusty likes to perch on my foot, when I've got my feet up. When he's there he likes to climb up to the top of my toe, then back down to my ankle. Up, down, up, down he goes. Silly bird!

Kiwi makes these goose honks (doesn't make much for parrot noises but he honks like a goose!). It never ceases to amuse me when he honks. If that weren't funny enough, we used to live near this duck pond which always had geese. I'd take him down there in the summer and he took great joy at honking at all his "friends"

Parker is very fond of the second have of the wolf whistle (the descending tone). He has made this a couple times after he poops, or once after a flushed a toilet. Bombs away!

Salty has many different laughs, but the one that cracks everyone up, every time, is the laugh from the little creature that Jabba the Hut keeps as his pet/footman, , Salacious B. Crumb which is a high pitched maniacle laugh followed by a desending awwwwwww. Google the character and listen to it, it's worth the listen. Salty will break out with this usually when dinner is being prepared and it never fails to get us all howling, which just sets him off further. He is such a character.

Kiwi and Parker need to meet up, as Kiwi is particularly interested in the first half of the wolf whistle. What a racket they could make if put together lol!

that is some funny behavior xD i don't let my parrots on my feet cause they try to trim my toenails and it's super ticklish! yuck! :D

i've heard birds assimilate sounds and behavior of other species when trying to fit in. that's just downright cute that he makes honks xD

oh wow, he's just letting everyone know to "look out below!" haha :D

i looked it up on youtube and i would DIE laughing if i heard a bird making that sound xD he watched the movie and copied it? :)

Raven, Bronze Winged Pionus is hands down my 'funniest' bird. The most recent thing he started doing both cracks me up but drives me nuts. He is unfortunately starting to take Griffin's lead in attempting to visit Robin's cage (very bad idea). At least he won't fly up to the cage, but he will sneak up to the lower part of the framework of Robin's cage, and sit on the bar there. I don't care, I do not want them anywhere near Robin or his cage. He knows it's bad, and can cost him a time out in his cage. He tries anyway of course. Okay, for the funny part...

He will be walking across the floor on his way to Robin's cage, and when he's almost there I will say "Raven! No, bad boy. Get over there" pointing to his and Griffin's side of the room. MOST of the time, he will comply and make a U-turn and walk with his head down (flat backed) to his own cage, like he's sneaking away. It is SO funny. He looks like a guilty dog!

ah, guilty birds are so funny xD they always have "that look" when they know they did something they weren't supposed to. is there a specific reason they can't be around Robin? Is he smaller? And also, OMG thanks! I was wondering how other people were doing that! So helpful! <3

Fun thread :). To answer your question, Robin is the one who will tear the flesh off anyone (bird) who lands on his cage, and is stupid enough to stand there and not heed his warning. Griffin is permanently missing toenails from it, but it doesn't keep him from trying. The last thing I need is Raven to start with that too. It's super funny when he shrinks away though :D.

We were on holiday with Plum and took him down onto the beach in his back pack. Lots of dogs running about barking and at first he was a little afraid so I reassured him it was only some dogs barking. A little while later we heard something and looked to Plum who was trying to bark too.

We went back to the same beach the following year and instead of barking, obviously old hat he warned me of an extra large tide coming in that would have soaked my shoes and I was able to jump out of the way in time. Thanks Plum! x

Raven has come up with a new funny thing in the past couple days. He will make mouth smacking sounds like someone is eating and making noise (I swear I don't eat like that)! Then he says Mmm!

This is the funny part... he likes to feed Griffin, and now he will regurgitate for his buddy Griffin, then right after he'll do the lip smacking sound followed by Mmmm! Sometimes Griffin will have stuff running down his chest, and there will be stuff on the floor. Ugh, it's hard to stop him from doing it, but now it's funny.

Lol these are great! I love hearing about everyone's fids

I'm allowed to give 1 or 2 kisses and a few cuddles after that she says "ah man come on" - if I miss the top of her head giving a kiss and hit her beak she rubs the kiss right off lol. Just like my son when he was little - ah mom cmon!

Hopping down and walking around the offices yelling cmere trying to find me never fails to make me laugh

When she spells something for me my YNA Bingo has to chime in also.
He likes vowels. A E O and especially Y. just for verity he throws in a 0 (zero) also.
makes it real hard to concentrate on the word my wife is trying to help me with.

When Polly is in her cage and she feels we aren't giving her enough attention or scratches, she'll hit her favorite dangling toy and then put her head in the way of it so that it'll hit her. It worried me at first but the toy is very light plastic without sharp edges, now it's just a funny quirk.

Dexter's new funny trick (and a favorite of mine so far) is to sternly tell the dog "Stop It!" when she barks at something outside the sunroom window. At first I thought it was a coincidence and he was just randomly saying it, but lately he does it almost every time the dog barks, so it really seems like a response to the bark.

Another recent funny behavior, and WAY less favored, is that he has started to imitate the rooster next door. I live in a suburban area and there honestly shouldn't even BE a rooster in the neighborhood, much less two!

Bacca (Quaker)
We got a bag of unroasted pistachio nuts at the bird store and we'll drop one in Bacca's food dish as a treat. Initially if she couldn't get it open she'd drop it, climb down (she needed her beak for that), pick it up and bring it over to us and drop it with a "you open it" expected look. Now she's taken to bringing us the empty shell if she'd like anotehr.
