Hello!
I noticed my Alexandrine behaving weirdly when that part of the month came. He was calm before but during it he lashed at my fingers and hissed, now that it is over he is back to being tame. Did any of you experienced this kind of behavior, and was it a male or female parrot?

I can't say that I've ever noticed a difference in Kiwi's (my male amazon) behavior, nor the birds (males and a female) I grew up with. I've never heard of parrots being sensitive to those kind of changes. It's possible it was simply a coincidence. It is also possible if you may have been behaving differently (even just slightly) because you didn't feel well he reacted to your behavior.

Ditto the above. They will pick up on your emotions no matter what -- can't fool a parrot!

None of my parrots have noticed/cared when I am on a cycle.
