Ozzy- 5 year old Dna'd male Blue Front Amazon
I have had Ozzy for awhile now and we are bonding more and more. I dont really have a problem with this, I just wanted to ask:

Does anyone else's parrot kick them!?!? I will be petting Ozzy or rubbing his beak and he will pick up his leg sometimes and just kick me away. He will also kick my hand if I am trying to get him to bring him back to his cage at night. I know its not stepping up because he actually like pushes me away! I just find it beyond amusing and was wondering if anyone else had a sassy bird like this :)

Hes gonna be a soccer player ;) lol

I have no idea sorry, Eddie does something similar where he puts his foot out to step up but won't, kinda like a 'dead leg'. But I have never heard of a kicking bird before, thats very interesting.

Harvey and Jed (dogs) Jolte and Churney (cats) Twister and Mac (horses) Nikolas and Aleksndr (ducks )
You are receiving the honor of being treated like a fellow fid. Gem often pushes Sam away with a foot if Sam is trying to get into something Gem wants exclusively to himself. I think in bird language the gesture means "give me a minute! "

Fred does something similiar...it means NO...I've learned to listen the first time with Fred, as he doesn't have a lot of patience. LOL!
