Salty likes a nice big drink of water after our training sessions. But he is too lazy to go back into his cage to get one, so I offer it to him while he is on his perch/boing. When he is done, if I offer it to him again, he politely takes the lip of the bowl and pushes it away. At first I didn't catch this subtle bit of body language (ouch!), or what ever language it is (ouch!), but we clearly understand each other now.
