I was just about to go through my gate when I spotted an extraordinary poop situated on the handle.

It made me think of all those times a bird poop has been in a place that has either made me laugh or mad me angry!

So I thought it would be amusing to start a thread dedicated to when bird poops are in a funny location.

So here's the first entry...

Door handle poop!

Peanut pooped in my daughter's shoe once, that was funny. But the funniest poops are the first morning poop. Actually I don't know if it's funny or disgusting. Her poop is so big in the morning it looks like a potato.

Also she will occasionally come across one of her own poop bombs and after inspecting it and realizing it's poop she will fling it across the room. That's always nice.

We were under the impression that having feathered family members living with you excluded you, door gates, cars, bikes, etc, from poop bomb attacks. I thought it was in the "contract" :) LOL

Sunny a female B&G macaw;
Japie (m) & Appie (f), both are congo african grey;
All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
Appie (the smallest african grey) will deliberately poop on Japie (the other one). Since they live in a big cage with no perches directly above each other this is no accident.
She will sit and hold still while he is messing about the floor (he loves doing chickenscratches etc.) and only 'bombs away' when he is in striking range.
For a long time I thought these were just 'accidents' of maybe he made her nervous / came too close (as they will poop before flying) until I saw her one day very calmly inching herself in position for better aim...

This behaviour comes and goes- but i've had periods with cleaning Japie several times a week!

(His wings mostly)

They will not poop on me (unless they are very upset/unsettled) and fly off/ move away (unfortunately the computer monitor is a favorite 'poo-spot') to do their business.
