...defeated... Most of y'all know about the obsession Amy has with The Beebs. This morning it was bad lol. I let Amy out of his house and started to prepare brekky for them. The INSTANT I turned my back Amy was already on the floor walking to BB's house. I put him back on his playtop and before I got to the kitchen he was back on the floor. Repeat two more times:mad:
He doesn't DO anything to BB..he just sits on BB's roof and chews on his toys. BB doesn't seem to be afraid of the big green dino..he'll sit on a perch and still chatter/whistle away,or sometimes go and retreat into his plexi food bowl/box.
( The "box" as David refers to it) But Amy clearly gets hormonal! He will fluff up,and bob his head and at times regurg. Amy never did that with Smokey or Jonesy. Even when we visit Salty it doesn't get that intense.
I have tried EVERYTHING I know on trying to stop this behavior. I can't be in the same room with both of them out, because BB is so bonded to me that he wants to be with me all the time and Amy will come storming over all floofed up banging the floor with his beak and come running after me  I have had Amy on his perch stick in one hand and BB on my other hand and I can see the "swoon" in Amys eyes.
As long as Amy is out of sight from Beebs hes good.
As I mentioned,he has never acted this way with another bird

Keeping working at it Jim. You may never be able to eliminate the behavior, but keeping them both safe is the goal. Add the effect as different Amazons begin to enter the Hormonal Zone and near all of us Owned By An Amazon will be facing like joys.
So, avoid giving up.

Jim, we all know that moment when we come to understand that we are owned by our Amazons! Its that moment when they have broken us.
That Green Dinosaur had you broken a very long time ago dear friend. Our continued effort at attempting to change them is our thin hold of reality. :D

Wonder if Amy thinks BB is his chick due to the size difference? According to my mom and my childhood memories, her DYH was similarly obsessed with me as a baby/child. She thought I was her baby and enjoyed taking care of me. My mom never tried to prevent it as she never hurt me.

I wouldn’t fight this if it were Kiwi and a smaller bird, so long as Kiwi wasn’t being a jerk and the smaller bird wasn’t bothered or frightened. That’s just me though.

David has said the same thing April. The only one in danger is ME:eek: Because Amy thinks he is protecting his mate/child. maybe because Beebs is so much smaller than what Smokey or Jonesy was,he thinks BB needs the protection
