Fly free, little Sam:(

I lost Sam, one of my Rosey Bourkes last night. I was in the room and heard a thump and ran to his cage, and he was on his back thrashing around on the bottom. I reached in to pick him up, and I held him for a minute and then he died in my hands. His neck was broken. I don't know if he slipped from his perch, or missed the perch he was flying to, or exactly what happened. I am devastated. He was such a sweet, sweet boy, and I loved him so much. His friend, Dean, is also devastated, and is still looking everywhere for him.
My heart is broken this morning. He was only 8.
Fly free, Sam...I love you.

Terry, I'm so sorry to hear about Sam! Even harder not knowing exactly 'what' made this happen to cause the force to break his neck? Freak accident. Poor Dean too. That is very sad. So sorry

Re: Fly free, little Sam:(

So sorry for your loss, Terry. Sam's life ended far too soon, but he was so lucky to be loved so very much while he was with you and to have Dean as a perfect companion.

Sam, fly free little Love.
