My heart is broken. We have been together a lifetime. He passed in my hands today. I'm grateful I could be with him to comfort him and tell him how much he is loved and keep eye contact. He was a brave, funny, spirited, beautiful, loving, smart, cuddley boy who was always there for me.

Bless his heart and his new life on the other side.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this, my eyes are welling up for you as I know what it's like to have a special friend with you for decades. Pritti lived a full life, and he knew he was much loved. I'm glad you were able to be there with him. Take care.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Pritti. I was only thinking about him the other day as I had not seen you guys around for a while. He was a beautiful birdie who knew how much he was loved. Fly free little one, you will be missed so much.

I am still reeling from your email. I sent you a reply but I want to leave a message here in case it did not go through. I also want to pay my respects to Pritti.

Pritti, what a character to the very end. I feel like I know him just from your vivid stories of him. When I think of what I would like Boomer to be when he grows up, I always think, 'I want him to be like Pritti.' He was and still is, for me, the parrot to beat. Though Pritti is no longer with us, his legacy will live on in people like me, and our parrots, whose lives he touched. He will pass on to legend now.

And you are, to me, the benchmark of what a parront should be. Pritti's wonderful life is a testament to your dedication as his keeper. You gave him the best life you could. May this soften the pain of your grief. Be at peace, K., your beautiful boy is up there flying, happily looking down on you.
