I miss you my little goofball

For a while me and Kiwiberry have had our night time routine where she'll stay with me in bed either 'till she's fallen asleep or 'till I feel too tired, but then I'd take her back to her cage for bed time.
But lately we've both been falling asleep together and I intended to change it 'cause I felt it was way too risky...

Tonight I woke up 3:01AM, I looked on the pillow, not there, looked in the cage, not there, I lift the blanket...
She was lying on her back and for a few seconds I thought she was sleeping.
I said her name, gave her a little stroke on the cheek, no reaction, put my lips to her and she was cold.
I feel so terrible, it's something that could've been avoided so easily...

Just yesterday I bought a new ball for her that she really loves, she broke the last one, and I bought some other toys for her too that I was starting to introduce to her.
Yesterday she was playing with that ball for ages! Throwing it around, banging it on stuff and just trying to get the bell out.
Melissa (Sunset_Chaser) will upload the video of Kiwiberry playing on the desk yesterday. If we can work it out.

I really don't know what to say, It's 5:50AM now, I'm still not sure what to do, say or think...

I am so sorry Sebastian! Kiwiberry was a very special little bird, always goofy and it ALWAYS brought a smile to my face when you shared videos and pictures of her. She knew she was very much loved and adored by her owner. Your thread had me in tears. Sending warm hugs your way, fly free little Kiwiberry, you'll be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Sebastian I'm so so sorry about KB~ she was such a sweet girl. Her videos always made me smile; it's hard to believe she's gone :/ don't beat yourself up too much though-- we know how much you loved her.

I'm very sorry Sebastian. You and Kiwiberry were so bonded and she certainly knew you loved her. Focus on the good times and wonderful memories.

Sebastian, I am so very sorry for your loss of Kiwiberry. Your love for her is evident in all your posts, I've never seen a photo or video of her that made me wonder if she was happy or well cared for, it's perfectly obvious. Kiwiberry knew how much you loved her. Please try to find comfort in the many happy memories you have of your feathered companion.

This really suck! I had just yanked your chain about your keyboard being destroyed and your baby is now dead! My JoJo is a double for Kiwiberry. All I can take away from this is really hold every one close to you close! I lost my daughter not too long ago, it's fast and unforgiving! But you have no choice, you gotta recover and step back up to the plate and see what is next. You have too much to offer, there are more hurting fids than there are folks who understand them, you are one of the few!
