Baxter - Illiger's Macaw (hatch date 5.1.15);
Taylor - Black capped Conure (RIP 3.14.15 - miss you every day little "Girlie")
As so many of you know, my family's first bird, Taylor (aka "Girlie") passed away in March. We were all heartbroken, especially me.
Right after her death, I was searching the internet for articles/information on pet loss and bereavement that could help me through my grief. I found a wonderful website, aplb.org. During one of the moderated chat sessions I joined, one of the mods mentioned a website called CuddleClones. They make "clones" of your pet. I had doubts that they could make birds, but I thought I would ask.
Well they can make birds. I ordered one of Taylor. It finally arrived today.
I think they did a great job. For comparison, Taylor is my avatar.
Of course, I immediately began to cry when I opened the little box and found my clone Taylor inside, but I have to say that it is somehow comforting to "see" her again.
I wanted to share this in case anyone who has lost a pet would be interested.
