Two parakeets. Kindle and Charlie
I have two parakeets. Plain English Parakets. I have had Kindle for about eleven months. I have had Charlie for about three and a half. They have been constantly fighting for about two months. The thing is that Kindle is not being mean or attacking Charlie. But Charlie is attacking Kindle. They are both wonderful birds but I am getting worried because it started off gentle fights. Now it is getting harder. They still have not drawn blood YET. Is there a way to stop this. :greenyellow::yellow2:

Some birds just don't get along in the same cage. There may not be enough space for two. What size cage do you have them in? If the fighting is not just occassional bickering, then you should have them in seperate cages.

Um I do not know the specifics on the cage. I don't think it is to small. The people at petsmart where I got them said I could fit four parakeets in ti comfortably.

Regardless of how many birds you could fit in it ( 4 is debatable if told by a petshop)
the biggest cage in the world ain't going to work if the birds don't like each other

Imagine if you will sharing a room with someone you dislike who irritates and annoys you
Now imagine being locked in there for 20+ hrs a day every day of the week

What would you do , how would you feel
we each like our own space
same goes with birds

I would definitely suggest another cage for the time being. You said they have not drawn blood YET but there is no point in taking that risk :)

You guys are right. You know Pheonix Rising I had not thought they wanted to be away from eachother and especially not like that. I thought they would accidently do something to the other witch made them mad.

Birds are just the same as people we have our likes and dislikes and those include some people as well
others we love and want to spend our time with

By the sounds of it this is not such a case

Great thing also about seperate cages is you can work mire one on one with the birds building a better bond
