It is with regret that I, Tony Jones the president of the GCCBS have to announce that our September 19th expo is having to be cancelled. I have spoken with the veterinarian division of the NC Dept of Agriculture they have stated that there cannot be any bird gatherings in NC from August 15th through January 2016. They are expecting an epidemic which can spread to pet birds. Unfortunately the dates includes our September expo in Belmont, North Carolina. It is unfortunate but, there isn't anything that GCCBS can do about it. I'm asking any member of the GCCBS to please help spread the word to any vendor or anyone that you know that comes to our expos. Anyone who will please share this post. Any vendor that has already paid for Belmont your money will roll over to 2016. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me. Raleigh area has Bird club meetings also and they will not have any more until further notice
