I'll put a reminder in my calendar to assure that the 'jet' is fueled and ready to make that trip.

Well, in my dreams at least!

Would love to visit that Show and stop by the booth. If all that happened and with my luck, I would get stuck at the Boarder on the way home. :D

I so wish you could come! If you got stuck at the border, you could just stay at my house:)

I wish you could, too! You & the Rb would be welcome additions to any gathering (and Rival, of course!)

I may pop by! If I do I’ll be sure to say hi :)

I would love to meet you! Hope you can stop by:)

Hugs are always appreciated:)

46 years ago, I worked at the horse race track, in Edmonton. We were staying inside the track in the greens(circus) and the mosquitoes were beyond anything I had ever experienced in my life! We also took a side trip up to Guy, Alberta, incredible countryside!

Yes, Alberta does have some breathtaking countryside up in the area you went to (Guy, Alberta) as well as the Canadian Rockies in the southwest area of the province. I live in Edmonton, but I lived a few years of my life way up north in High Level, Alberta which is still a few hours north of Guy. The Great Horned Owl is actually our provincial bird, but some people say it is really the mosquito. You'd swear some of them were the size of hummingbirds  LOL.

The swarms were so bad, it looked like that old mosquito commercial by Off! To control them, we took one of our trucks popped the air filter and drove around the field dribbling kerosene into the carb, smoking the grass!

Me too! It is always so much fun, seeing so many species of birds in one place.

hope you have a wonderful time! :)
Thank you Will!

I'm so excited you are coming again! No, no big flock this year is going...we are going to bring Dactyl if there is enough room in the vehicle, he is always a hit:)

Oh, I so wish you were close enough to come! That would have been awesome:) Thanks a bunch, keeping my fingers crossed for good sales.

I was so shocked at the mosquitoes when I moved up here! We had an outdoor wedding ceremony and handed out packages of Off wipes to the guests..lol.

No, it's the little ones that get you. There's some big ones, yes. But those are slow enough that you can squish them easily. :) Luckily though, when we're outside they swarm my Dad and eat me less, lol.

I was actually in Edmonton today and yesterday, what a coincidence. I wish I could have come!

Terry,

It was great seeing you and Reg again too! Moonie is enjoying his new toy:)

WiseOwl, absolutely the little guys are much worse! They seem quicker and sneakier!

Yep! Add that to the fact that there's so many of them absolutely swarming you, and you've got tons of bites everywhere. On the drive down to Edmonton we stopped for a bit at a rest stop and there was one of the big ones. Here we go again. :/
