Our newest sub-forum is for those who are currently breeding parrots, those who want to breed parrots, and the place to ask questions about baby parrots. This sub-forum is NOT a place to advertise your birds. ;)

Please, do NOT buy an unweaned bird. Before you are tempted to do so, have a look at this thread:
http://www.parrotforums.com/breeding-raising-parrots/19049-hazards-buying-unweaned-baby.html

In case you’ve fallen victim to an unscrupulous seller who convinced you that hand feeding a baby bird is a piece of cake, feel free to ask questions here. :)
Personally I know of one link that explains hand feeding in great detail. (If anyone else has links, please share them here)
https://theparrotuniversity.com/arthandfeeding1#basics

We are here to learn from each other and to help each other out – to the best of our abilities. We have some phenomenal, ethical breeders on this forum, many of whom have bent over backwards to help folks in the past, just as we have many experienced hand feeders.

Let’s just remember to be kind to one another. Everyone has to start somewhere. Of course it’s optimal to have a mentor who can show someone all the ropes, but not everyone is quite so fortunate. :)

I think this is a great new sub-forum:) Seems like a lot of people end up with unweaned babies, so this will be a great resource to help them.

Now I can't stop thinking about the rash of absolutely adorable, snugly little baby blue fronts recently and how very, very tempting they are:54: Mine's a typical teenage boy:52::09: What I wouldn't give to turn back the clocks and make him a tiny little baby with just a couple prickly feathers on his butt:D

Fantastic! A thought, as other really good, reputable links are found, can they be edited into the first post? Possibly help avoid confusion for someone already over their head!

Yes, David, absolutely. I can edit my initial post and add links (and even videos). :)

Of course I'm limited to "X" amount of characters, so the initial post can't be half a book length...but yeah, I can edit/modify to keep it all 'organized'. :)

Thank you for that AWESOME idea, btw ;)
