ello ladies and gentlemen.

three years ago we had a female grey , my father just bought her without knowing her gender. due too our male grey is lonely after we lost our old grey parrot ( RIP Diddy).

before the DNA test we know his gender due to his behavior ( he was matting with the balls and sometimes apples ). and we did the eye test and yeah he look like a male and we did the eye test on the female and she look like one. since 3 years when they are next to each other he attacked her directly.

due to our male old behavior. we found out that he should be lucky to have a female arround him instead of using balls and he should be happy due to our last parrot he spent years without a female and before he died what he got ? this ( i'll not say the word ).

i learned that they need a privacy. i made it for them for months and no single eggs , i really don't know why i'm badly want a new chicks.

he lived with us he knows us very well , but the female we are new to her. one of the times i heard the mating voice . i was shocked and came to look and what I saw female is trying to touch the male , i know her very well she is afraid from him but what she can do . she is in need. what about his reaction ..... nothing.

when he reached the cage corner from pushing he attacked her. she get upset and she start to eat. 2 years like that. i asked a lot and i read a lot and nothing happened.

I bought a large cage and a breeding nest. they are afraid from entering it.

i tried the vitamin course. the female she goes wild and she ran to him but the same thing he refused.after that she pushed the food bowl and ran to our baby yellow crown. his cage was in the middle of 3 parrots. he was just 3 and half months and the only thing she want is repping him. we didn't' do a DNA test yet and after this action movie , we knows he was male. the male when he saw the color he didn't touch it at all.

the female soon she knows this new water can do something. one of the times i just arrived home from work and what I saw was the male face

was wet and she were sitting next to him. she was pushing his face into the water to drink it.

for the male we dealt with him by his way. he loves to drink beer ( non Alcoholic ) and coca cola . we emptied the bottle of beer and we put the vitamin in it and the trick is worked .he drink it .

I noticed that he don't need a privacy. he was playing with the ball in front of me before he wasn't shy at all.

everyday at 6PM the mating season is starting. if he want to do it. Without any start he want to jump on her. but this isn't the problem. she is doing the same. she want to ride him too.

they are trying many times if they give up the had a small fight and everyone start to mind his business. i tried once to show them a mating video . plz! no one lough on me i really don't have any options.

Last july I got a new male grey due to our lovely male he don't want the female. the condition was the female she attacked this male . when he do any voice our he moved she attack him ASAP. She want the old one even he isnā€™t doing the thing with her.

Last month a co- worker he brought his grey to me due to he is going to a vacation . so I put him with the new male and I saw them ASAP touching each other and setting quietly with each other. The old pair they arenā€™t doing it. So I had to put them in the breeding cage to fast the process. We did the DNA test and we found out she is a girl.

Last night my sister she put a toy egg in their breeding nest and they already enter the nest and they set on it. I saw the male this morning he is swallowing the food and going inside.

They want the eggs to be ready omg!....

The good thing within a month they start to do something not like the first pair.

Really sorry for talking a lot in this story.

The Question is ?

Do you think Iā€™ll have something called chicks.

Thank you for ur time

Are you keeping your friend's bird? I can't help with the breeding questions, but if they bond, it would be a shame to separate them after breeding.

Hey and welcome to the forum. Here in the US I know several breeders of CAGs. Most of them put all of their breeders together in large cage and let them pick their own mates. Hard to force them to breed, as you have found out. It sounds like your last pairing might work out. Yes I think you should have eggs. However I would pull the fake eggs as soon as possible. They should start their own clutch soon after.BTW I breed new world parrots not greys, I'm no expert on those. Good luck.

thank you both for answering,

Terry I'll not separate them at all. I'll not attend to sell them. the issue is I never had a good exp with CAGs. I always have an idols not a birds .they just eat eat eat , i tried to trsint them to cuddled them it is look like I'm talking to a wall.... 16 CAGs only one of them is talktive and we lost him for my grandmother she took it from us. cows they eat food and they gives u meat and milk. our CAGs they eat food and that is it.... the parrot if he isn't cuddled type or talktive only thing is left for him to be usful.. leying eggs . ours they aren't doing it either. I want to let my family to like CAGs for the first time by having new chicks we know how to handle them but let them come.

the first pair they can mat but what they are doing? how can I explain to the female about the mating methods ... she want to ride the male .... I have done many DNA test on both .. each test saying this is male and this is a female. the male we have him since 2007 he isn't young at all . the breeding next they are afraid from it due too they were raised in a farm . the 2nd pair they were hunted that is why they aren't afraid from it.

Please don't breed such intelligent creatures if you are just doing it so they can be "useful" :(
