With my 3 babies I noticed that the mom was very tired at the end of the day (kids will do that to anyone no mater human or animal).

Are you hand feeding only without the parents help ?

My 2 breeders laid there first egg of the 2nd clutch yesterday, I am hoping it wont be a large batch. 3 babies was just find for a first time parent (both me and the birds).

The seven big babies, the ones in the video are only being hand fed. The three tiny babies are being strictly parent fed, and they have one egg left to hatch in this clutch. This pair is incredible, the father is extremely involved and very supportive. Yes raising babies does make them tired, however they have an excellent diet and are a Great team. It does probably make a difference though, we are far from first time parents, me or the birds

For me, 3-4 babies is an ideal clutch size. Any bigger and I pull the oldest two for hand feeding.

Babies! They are so cute. Years ago one of the birds I took in was a cockatiel. About 3-4 year old. My youngest son was 6 at the time and he was and is one of those kids who was just born responsible. He had asked me for a bird a few months before and I said what moms say when they don't want an argument . I said "we'll see". When the little tiel showed up she was pretty tame and she took to him first. So, she was his bird. ( with mom watching) she lived to be about 25ish. She had a few eggs when she was about 14, the first time. She spent her last years with her cage near me because she got lonely upstairs with a college kid who was out frequently . But my son would come home and put her on his shoulder and take her upstairs till bed time. She was originally removed from a home with other birds, and she never come out of the cage. I believe there was an issue of filth which affected the elderly woman as well as any animals. But she got a great ( albeit 6 year old) owner who was a great daddy.

Beautiful babies. I was taking pictures at every opportunity.
First clutch of eggs/babies the father was also doing his share of the work.
Am worried about the father/mother interaction this time. Father is doing some "ruff grooming" and Female keeps "asking for it".

She will bend her head low to ask for grooming and the father will accommodate, always ends with feathers being pulld out from around Mom's neck.
Have you had any experience with this ??

I have not, but I have seen other people who have hens with the backs of their heads and necks plucked during breeding. There are a few other breeders here with a lot more experience than I have who could probably offer more insight. My first thought is he could just be eager to start a new clutch.
